How to find us at the Truro Health Park:

The main reception is on Floor 0. From the entrance next to the Daniel Arms take the stairs or lift to floor 0 and you will see the reception to the right from the lift and to the left from the stairs (you will have come from floor -1). From the main Truro Health Park entrance you should enter and go left until you see the 3Spires main reception at the end of the building.

There is parking for patients and secure places to leave cycles as well as wheelchair access and wheelchair toilet facilities and lifts at Truro Health park.

Prescriptions:

If you have previously had your prescriptions processed by Moss Pharmacy (Lemon Street), these will now be available from the Truro Health Park Boots. Please remember to select the correct Boots store when ordering prescriptions online.

Update on measles outbreak declared on Merseyside

A measles outbreak has been declared on Merseyside. There are 13 confirmed and 16 suspected cases ranging in age from nine months to adults aged in their 20s. Six people, four children and two adults, required treatment in hospital. This compares to just one confirmed case on Merseyside in the first six weeks of 2011 and one in the corresponding period of 2010.

10 February 2012, 1400hrs. The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has this week been alerted by the Spanish public health authorities about a further case of Legionnaires’ Disease in a UK resident who stayed at the Diamante Beach Hotel in Calpe, Costa Blanca, as well as two French cases. This brings the total number of UK residents associated with this cluster to 12, with three deaths.

The surgery offers both, on the day and pre-bookable appointments.

If you require a same day appointment please phone early in the morning.

Other appointments can be booked up to one month in advance.

Urgent medical problems are always accommodated.

It is important that you see your own doctor whenever possible to obtain the best continuity of care.

Nurses

All Nurse Clinics are pre-bookable at the present time.

Speaking to a doctor

If you need to speak to your doctor, please leave a message with the receptionist and he / she will call you back when available or after surgery. Doctors do not take telephone calls whilst consulting unless you have a medical emergency.

Home Visits

homevisits If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:30am if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the Surgery.

Test Results

Please call in the afternoon to enquire about your test results as our reception staff will have more time to deal with your request than during the morning when more people are phoning to make appointments.

Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
