Dr Short’s Retirement

I am writing to you to inform you that after nearly 40 years working as a doctor in the NHS I shall be retiring at the end of December. I have been a partner at the Three Spires Medical Practice (previously Lower Lemon Street) since September 1991 and was the trainee doctor at the Practice for a year before this. I have therefore been the GP for some of you for more than 33 years. I have thoroughly enjoyed my career and feel a sense of fulfilment as I now approach retirement. It has been a privilege and honour to provide health care for my many patients over several generations. Over this period, I have seen many changes in the NHS and at the Practice, as we have continually strived to provide the best possible health care in often challenging times. I have worked with many colleagues over the years as the Practice has expanded and we have a great team of people who are supportive and contribute to the positive working environment that I have valued during my career. Best wishes, Dr Peter Short
