IMPORTANT INFORMATION: DO NOT ATTEND THE PRACTICE IN PERSON UNLESS YOU HAVE SPOKEN TO A DOCTOR OR MEMBER OF THE PRACTICE STAFF. IF YOU DO NEED TO ATTEND PLEASE COME IN BY YOURSELF WHERE POSSIBLE OR LIMIT THE NUMBERS OF PEOPLE ATTENDING WITH YOU IF YOU NEED ASSISTANCE OR YOU ARE BRINGING A CHILD IN.
Message to patients:
On behalf of all the partners at Three Spires I would like to thank you for adapting to the changes that we have introduced in response to the Covid-19 virus. The use of NHS online, 111, telephone triage, video consultations and e-Consult (available via our website) have enabled us to protect our more vulnerable patients and also the wellbeing of our staff, many of whom are working from home. There are numerous resources and links on the NHS and Three Spires websites, we encourage everyone to use these where possible so that the doctors and nurses time can be reserved for the unwell.

Following government advice, the doctor routine appointment lists are closed until further notice so that the doctors can focus on providing an urgent care service. The Practice is now implementing a total "triage" system. If you need to book an appointment please contact the Practice on 01872 272272 where you will be put through to one of our patient advisors. You will be asked about the reason for your visit and will receive a telephone call from your doctor.
We would be grateful if you could help us to help you by keeping phone calls to a minimum as the increased call volume hinders our doctors in phoning you. Please do not visit the Practice unless a doctor has asked you to attend.
Stay at home
Do not meet others, even friends or family. You can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms.
Use the NHS 111 online coronavirus service if:
- you feel you cannot cope with your symptoms at home
- your condition gets worse
- your symptoms do not get better after 7 days

Only call 111 if you cannot get help online. (Due to the volume of calls NHS 111 is receiving, you may need to dial several times.)
Please do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital until you have received advice from NHS 111.
We are monitoring the situation closely and will continuously reassess the safest way to provide our services to patients. Please check back here regularly.

How to order prescriptions
You can order your prescriptions using any of the following services:-
Online: We are also able to accept requests for repeat prescriptions through SystmOnline. In order to utilise this service you must ensure that you are a registered user. If you have not registered as yet, please ask at Reception for a form or print one off from the website (you will need to produce 2 forms of ID). Please visit the 'prescriptions' page.
By hand: hand in your repeat prescription, clearly indicating which items you require and where you would like to collect your medication / prescription. This can be dropped in the box by the entrances to Truro Health Park.
In person: complete a form and drop it in the box at our Reception desk.
By email: send your email to firstname.lastname@example.org
By post: send to Repeat Prescriptions, Three Spires Medical Practice, Truro Health Park, Infirmary Hill, Truro TR1 2JA.

If you would like to use the Smartphone App please tick the box in the application form. The App is simply called SystmOnline and can be found on the Appstore and Google Play. Alternatively download a QR scanner and scan these QR codes to find the App.
FRIENDS AND FAMILY TEST
From the 1st December 2014 all GP practices are required to ask patients the Friends & Family test questions that will be monitored by NHS England on a monthly basis. The two questions are as follows:
How likely are you to recommend our GP Surgery to friends and family if they needed similar care or treatment?
Can you tell us why you gave that response?
Please let us know how we are doing and answer these questions by clicking on the 'Have Your Say - Friends & Family Survey' tab at the right of the page.

NHS England requires that the net earnings of doctors engaged in the Practice is publicised, and the required disclosure is shown below. However it should be noted that the prescribed method for calculating earnings is potentially misleading because it takes no account of how much time doctors spend working in the Practice, and should not be used to form any judgement about GP earnings, nor to make any comparison with any other Practice.
The average pay for GPs working in The Three Spires Medical Practice in the last financial year was £74,401 before tax and National Insurance. This is for 8 GPs and 8 GP assistants who worked in the Practice for more than six months.
